Flying with a REAL ID
TSA now requires a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state-issued enhanced driver's license, or acceptable form of ID to board a domestic flight.
REAL ID-compliant cards have one of the following stars on the upper right portion of your driver’s license:
If you do not have a Real ID or acceptable ID, there's an option to pay a $45 fee to use TSA ConfirmID to verify your identity. While this is an optional fee, if you choose not to use it and don’t have the proper ID, you may not be allowed through security and may miss your flight.
